Since 1993 the Aegusa hotel in Favignana has been welcoming visitors with the warm embrace typical of Sicilian hospitality.
The nineteenth-century building houses the hotel in the historic center of the butterfly island: Favignana which seems to hover on a mirror of water. The palace with its inner garden were built at the behest of the Bourbon General De Giorgi. In the fifties it became the residence of the mayor of the island and that is why in the village it is better known as “la casa du Sinnacheddu”.
15 Comfort rooms, furnished with care and attention to detail in which you can spend a relaxing stay in an ancient house recently restored.
Every detail recalls the atmosphere of the houses of western Sicily at the end of the 19th century.
You can choose between multiple solutions including single, double and triple rooms.
It also has three very spacious and bright Superior rooms overlooking the main facade of the building, await our most demanding guests.
The garden of the Aegusa offers our guests dishes of the island tradition also with personal reinterpretations.
A pleasant and intimate garden is the ideal setting for aperitifs and dinners in the island atmosphere.
The restaurant is mentioned in the best Italian food and wine guides such as Veronelli, Gambero Rosso, Dove and in the prestigious Hotel and Restaurants Guide Michelin.
The chef Jean Simonte, certain of the importance of the raw material, proposes traditional island dishes also with personal reinterpretation. Without ever forcing the flavors with sophisticated sauces and condiments and transgressing the lightness of the “Mediterranean”.
We offer our guests an elegant lounge bar, our restaurant and a transfer service from the port of Favignana as well as many other services that you can request at the reception.
